Abby: My name is Abby.

Mari: Okay. So, when did you come to the US?

Abby: In 2007

Mari: And why did you decide to come?

Abby: Okay, I’m Cuban. And I lived in Italy… you know, it was too far away from my country, my culture. And me and my husband, we decided to come to the United States. His family has a restaurant and hotel in Italy, and we decided to open something, the same, in the United States. Miami, because of the weather.

Mari: Yeah. Why did you decide to do Pinocchio?

Abby: Pinocchio… our uncle, he’s a collector. And he has a Pinocchio from 1878, like a really expensive piece… the first person, the first collector in Italy, was Berlusconi, and… and the uncle was the second one. And we decided to name, to call it Pinocchio because of him. And then we opened Pinocchio. We opened for the first time in Miami Beach…

Mari: Ah, nice!

Abby: We stayed there 14 years.

Mari: Yes

Abby: And then we moved here, to a residential area.
